The shape name "GOTHIC" is impressed near the printed mark.  It is our belief that Gothic is the makers intended Shape name.  This was of 1870's manufacture which does not align with the early Gothic shapes from the 1840's and 1850’s that were named Gothic by collectors.  The pieces marked Gothic by Cockson & Chetwynd (& Co.) are found both in the Gothic and Plain Shape categories in this database.
